Joe,

I am part of the promotions committee that is helping to bring the Vietnam Moving Wall to our township this coming July. I’ve attached a copy of the brochure of the event. I’d like to request that this be circulated among the membership of the TAC Missilers. If any member happens to be in the area during the event, they would be most welcome. Also since its going to cost about $35,000 to bring the moving wall to our township, if any member would like to donate, it too would be most welcomed.

During the initial meeting for planning the event, they asked each veteran in the group to stand and give their name, branch of service and veterans affiliation. When I stood up, I gave my name, Air Force veteran, American Legion membership, and that I was a member of the TAC Missilers. I was wearing my jacket with the large TAC patch on the back at the time. I had a few people later ask me what the heck was a TAC Missiler. When explained, their first reaction was “… I didn’t know they had nuclear missiles on Okinawa!”.

In any event, if you would please circulate the poster, this would help our cause greatly.

Thanks

Kind Regards
